Yoga with Stephanie
Stephanie HeartSong is honoured to guide students of all levels, knowing that Yoga is a pathway to happiness, good health and a peaceful heart.
For the past 20 years, Stephanie has dedicated her life to holistic and spiritual growth practices such as Reiki, guided meditation and sound healing. At the core of her own inner transformation is her steadfast practice and love of Hatha and Raja yoga. Stephanie is a graduate of Shanti Yoga Hamilton's teacher training program.
Stephanie uniquely combines energy awareness and sounding in her asana teaching. Students are also introduced to the philosophy of yoga as presented in Pantajali's Sutras. All classes include correct alignment instruction. Students learn how to use yoga props such as belts, blocks and cotton blankets. Props are ideal to safely deepen yoga poses and to build strength and flexibility. During Savasana, known as the deepest relaxation pose, Stephanie may chant or offer sacred silence depending on the energy of the group. Learning to breathe (Pranayama), to let go of tension, to honour the body's limits and talents, and to discipline the mind are all integral benefits of a yoga class.
Stephanie teaches Raja Yoga philosophy and offers Hatha yoga classes at the Yoga with Ona studio located inside the Keystone Massage Centre, 17 Paradise Road South, Hamilton, Ontario, L8S 1S1. In addition, she also offers private yoga sessions at Shanti Yoga's healing studio room located on the 2nd floor of 344 Main Street West, Hamilton, Ontario, L8P 1J9.
